The West Huntsville area sits just south of Interstate 565 and west of Downtown Huntsville. Characterized by its many quiet residential streets, the neighborhood is bound by major thoroughfares to the north and east, such as U.S. Highway 231.

The area houses many single-family homes, area businesses, and apartment buildings, and is just a short three-mile drive to the center of Huntsville. The University of Alabama in Huntsville sits northwest of town, meaning students canfind an affordable rental not far from campus.
